A 32-year old proud ex-Overseas Filipina Worker-mom turned SAHM, happily married with a 2 year old daughter, Derelle. I tried to strike a balance between the responsibilities of a wife and mom and the demands of my job in the Middle East. The need to sustain my immediate family back home brought me to work there 8 years ago. And I think I’ve found my reward when I met my betterhalf - Derrick, an Indian national who happened to be the man of my dreams, embraced his culture for the sake of love and our young daughter, whom I regard as “my everything“.
Aside from my primary blog
When Silence Speaks, I maintain 4 more:
Everything About Deye > This is where I update my 2 year old daughter’s antics and daily milestone. It’s good to keep a record especially when it’s shown online. It’s a lot easier updating your family and friends. I’m sure she’ll love me more for doing so. Well, um, I guess! By the way, if you want to know how I kept a track while she was still inside me, please click here.
The Artist In Mitch > I got hooked into digital scrapping the day I chanced upon Yen’s blog. Been meaning to try one but didn’t know where to start. I left a comment in her blog and she was so kind answering my questions one by one. That was the start of it! I owe it to her! Thanks girl!
Etc Atbp > My newest blog that tackles anything under the sun…
Last but not the least…
Cook With Mitch > A wanna be. I’m warning you “try my recipes at your own risk!” LOL! Honestly, I’m one of those unfortunate ones who doesn’t even know to cook rice the traditional way hehehe! But I’m trying…. very hard. The recipes that you’ll see in this blog has been tested, so far no one has reported a stomach ache nyahahaha! They are still alive and kicking my #!@ for making them eat those. Kidding! Try it! You’ll love it!

i was deleting some entries in my email address when i came across an entry from lourie. so, i drop her a comment and again came across yours. i am quite impressed by mommies who are creative and a real mother. btw, i am from davao, an accountant and a retired college and graduate school instructor (although i am not that old), not so literate about computers and the internet. i love to travel (i was in subic in year 2000). perhaps we can exchange few words, tips or blogs. nobody has a monopoly of knowledge and i'd love to exchange some experiences with yours.
have you been to davao? i'd be glad to show you and your family around.
more power to you!
